Performance Highlights
The following are a few highlights of my performance career. The list includes performances of my own pieces, performance of others’ work, conducting and directing.
New Music Ensemble: Of My Life
October 1st, 2021
The first in-person performance for the ensemble since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was adamant about programing tempo-accurate and rhythmic-accurate pieces. I also wanted to introduce the ensemble to different ways of performing, hence the programing of Carolyn Chen’s piece for untrained choir, Declaration. The other two pieces was an arrangement of Philip Glass’s Satyagraha Finale and Frederic Rzewski’s Coming Together. I decided to have the bassline sequenced by a modular synth, which gave me the opportunity to have sequenced lighting, projection and vocal processing on the narrator part. This concert demonstrated my ability to integrate different elements of multi-media into a performance of another’s work. Check out a playlist of the performance below and a link to the program.
13 Fruitcakes at Edinburgh Fringe 2021

My work piano was performed as a part of the experimental music theatre work 13 Fruitcakes. The work originally premiered at LaMaMa in 2019 with myself performing the work and later at Seoul Performing Arts Festival 2020. The 2019 performance of the work was my first time being involved in a musical theatre performance and sparked my interest in developing works for the medium.
